It’s been a quiet few years for the peasants of the Campesinos family. Except for a few festival appearances there’s been very little action since 2013’s ‘No Blues’ album.  We’re big fans of their casual hard edged indie bleakery and ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’ is one of our all time favourite records, we love the whiff of Birmingham’s greatest indie musician Lawrence Hayward that permeates their lyrical meanderings. 2017 looks set to be a big year for the gang; a new album on the way, ‘Sick Scenes’, which is due to be released in February and a full UK tour following a jaunt around the USA. Last confirmed date is at everybody’s favourite Birmingham live venue the Hare and Hounds. It should be a blast.
