The modern antiquarian and cosmic adventurer who famously invited the world to shut its mouth appears in the cosy environs of the Glee Club. The enigmatic and multi-talented Cope defies definition and has produced a jaw droppingly huge body of work in a career spanning over three decades. Musician, historian, activist, novelist and cultural commentator, his prolific output has neither slowed in quality or quantity. Currently working on the follow up novel to the well received One Three One, “a total skullfuck of a book” according to Bobby Gillespie, and promising a new EP of drinking songs to accompany this tour. Cope is a cultural behemoth and a great English eccentric that we should cherish and value. We know we do. To spend an evening with our favourite Krautrock expert in such intimate surroundings as the Glee is a real treat. Tickets go on sale Nov 4 and will sell out quickly. Now settle in and read Copendium, his glorious collection of reviews. Excited? Oh yes.
