As part of the Jewellery Quarter Festival The Coffin Works is staging it’s first folk and roots festival, Coffin Folk 16.  The gloriously named Coffin Works or Newman Brothers Coffin Furniture Factory to give it its full title is a fascinating place to visit anyway, throw in some top quality music from some of Birmingham’s best folk musicians and you have a recipe for a great evening. There’s a stellar line up of local talent featuring Mike Weaver, Ashland, Leon Gormley and Dominic Crane. Plus you can tell all your friends you’ve been to a gig in a coffin factory and I bet you’ve never said that before.
