With two successful parties under its belt already since its inception at the tail end of 2015, the Acid Experiment takes its euphoric breed of acid house nostalgia beneath the railway lines that cut through Digbeth and onto the dancefloor of LAB11. Armed with a booming Funktion 1 soundsystem and a state of the art light show, its mission is to recreate the era of petrol station meetups, empathy and glow sticks for the original rave generation and newly converted ravers alike. Evoking the music, vibes and even fashion from this golden age of dance music, party-goers are advised to turn off their smartphones, leave their watches at home and prepare to be transported back in time for a night of pure escapism. Featuring sets from a range of local DJs with a shared love of acid house, such as Jay Francis, Amo, Tomola and more.
