VOID | Sat 20 May | The Monastery | £5
Loud and proud; VOID provide everything a raver could ask for. A sound system so brash it feels like it’s shaking the foundations of the second city, an unusual venue deep inside Digbeth’s derelict Monastery and well-selected underground bangers all night long. If you’re not a fan of the mainstream and crave relentless underground house and techno in a place that clearly states it has no time for bad attitudes and treats its attendees like a raving family, then this is definitely the environment for you. The acoustics of the room are incredible and the DJs, most of whom are local, seem just as excited as the crowd to serve up some supreme sets. Your ears will be ringing after but it’ll just serve as a reminder that you had one hell of a Saturday night.
