Not only will the Refuge Boogie be providing some undoubtedly groovy tunes it also promises to give all of its proceeds to ‘Help Refugees’ charity, who provide important emergency aid and vital services to those affected by the global refugee crisis. Shadow City Sound System and other impressive selectors promise to put the ‘fun’ in fundraiser as they pump disco and techno into the worthy crowd. It’s a fabulous idea that requires little effort, you simply have to dance to make a difference.

The attendees of Void’s infamous raves have become an extremely loyal fan base and it’s easy to see why they’re so addicted. Affordable and intimate with a sound system that threatens to split the ground in two, Void has all the ingredients to conjure up an incredible underground experience. The setting for their opening party will be a derelict monastery, a unique space with immense acoustics, giving this party the same thrill as the 90s rave scene but with a modern update. The sound of the throbbing bass will be echoing in your head for days after.

Portal are extremely reliable when it comes to providing knock out line ups and attracting serious talent into the second city. Their next event sees none other than Heidi grace the decks with an extended set in the intimate Blackbox. She’s a passionate patron of underground house and techno and anyone that has listened to her BBC one slot or been lucky enough to attend a Jackathon party will be familiar with her impressive style. Her curly blonde bob will no doubt be moving enthusiastically to the rhythms of her passionate set. She’s played at all the major festivals, done b2b sets with everyone from Eats Everything to Skream to Jackmaster; an expert provider of party spirit and addictive beats.
