Magic Door | Fri 4 Aug | LAB11 | from £16.50
If you don’t plan on pilgrimaging to any festivals this summer, this is your one chance to become initiated in the mystical Magic Door experience. Stopping off on their ecstatic travels from Gottwood and Love International to deliver their only UK club-based party until the autumn, the ineffably brilliant, inexpressibly glittery Magic Door crew return to LAB11 with new resident Mr Doris in tow. Mr Doris is renowned for his residency at Hi Ibiza and his sun-soaked daytime beach sets, immensely danceable and infused with the sounds of soul, hip hop and disco. No words can adequately prepare neophytes for the experience that lies beyond the fabled magic door… See our feature here.

Ibiza Carnival | Sat 5 Aug | Boxxed | from £22.25
You’ll almost be able to feel the sand beneath your feet at this feel-good sunset siesta. Hopefully you won’t have to imagine the Ibizan sun on your face. From Ibiza to Birmingham, Ibiza Carnival brings the best Balearic beats to Boxxed in Digbeth in partnership with world-famous club night Cream and pre-party paradise Café Mambo. International house star Erick Morillo has recently been announced as the headline act, his name worth the price of entry alone. Cocktails and summer vibes will flow at this Mediterranean marathon of music (sixteen hours, to be exact).

KRACK Launch Party | Sat 5 Aug | LAB11 | from £4

Skipping the bullshit to bring you a handpicked selection of the best DJs Birmingham has to offer, including Alex Parkin, Billy Bayliss and Shya Groove, KRACK’s inaugural outing is bound to be a belter.
