DJ Magazine’s no.9 DJ in the world casts her shadow over the decks and journeys to the dark heart of dance music for a unique Pay What You Want party in the intimate setting of the Blackbox. Drawing upon eighteen years of DJing experience, she will be delving deep into the techno underground to put attendees under her spell with a hypnotic mix of 808 beats and eerie, robotic synths. The R&B and UK garage band behind the 1999 hit ‘Re-Rewind’ that kickstarted Craig David’s career bring their signature 2-step sound to Sobar in Chinatown. Performing a DJ set complete with shuffling rhythms, rimshots and wobbling sub-bass, Artful Dodger are joined by Pete Graham, a West Midlands DJ and producer who often works collaboratively with dark bass house pioneer Chris Lorenzo, and Joshua.

Nightingale plays host to a celebration of underground tech house, the first event of its kind to be held in Birmingham’s gay quarter. Headlining is second city DJ, producer and Global Gathering resident Marc Spence, who released his ‘Nasty/Stop Interrupting’ single to acclaim last year. This Friday, Spence is joined by the Sherrington Brothers, Ana Cole, Wayne H and more for what promises to be a memorable night.
