Week five of the Roof Garden gets underway with a Justin Martin headline set. Hailing from sunny San Francisco, Martin was mentored by super-producer and Dirtybird records co-founder Claude VonStroke, rising to prominence with the upbeat funk simplicity of debut single ‘The Sad Piano’ and attracting acclaim for the bipolar grit of ‘Ghettos and Gardens’, expertly alternating between soaring melody and plummeting bass. Creating music for headphones as well as the dance floor, Martin successfully straddles the boundary between underground and mainstream dance music, his signature, lusciously textured tech-house sound earning him slots in renowned venues across the world, from Panorama Bar in Berlin to Fabric in London – to the Rainbow in Birmingham. This Saturday, Martin is joined by Elliot Croft, Scott Bleeps, Official Nancie and a host of other DJs for a night of cocktails, beats and treats.
