When you think of electronic music, the image that springs to mind is that of a DJ in a booth behind a MacBook Pro and a pair of Pioneer decks, selecting and mixing tracks on the fly. You probably don’t think of a musician actually producing original music in real time, creating drum loops and picking out keyboard melodies right there in front of you. Electronic music isn’t usually conducive to such spontaneity or showmanship, but this is exactly what you get with KiNK, Bulgarian house fanatic and one-man-band. When you see that world-famous DJ at that world-famous festival, all the lights, lasers and LED screens are mere fluff, compensation for the fact that, ultimately, the DJ probably isn’t doing much most of the time. Not so with KiNK, and that’s what makes his live show so unmissable. Support from Mali, Bunny and more.
