With the Olympics just around the corner, Ouse takes you on a trip through the favelas to the crowded streets of Rio de Janeiro for an exhilarating Brazilian street party spilling out onto the golden sands of the Copacabana – and all of this from the post-industrial Victorian backdrop of inner city Birmingham. If previous parties are anything to go by, the Ouse team will make sure no expense is spared in recreating this South American paradise for partygoers, pumping out a tropical cocktail of disco, house and jungle all afternoon and night in the shadow of Digbeth’s iconic train lines rather than Sugarloaf Mountain. Kicking off the festivities at noon outside in the Yard, the familiar surroundings of Boxxed will be transformed into an Amazonian idyll for a whole sixteen hours of sunshine and tunes, the fun not stopping until 4am the following day.

Sat 4 Jun, Boxxed, 104 – 105 Floodgate Street, Birmingham, B5 5SR, 12 noon-4am, From £14. Buy tickets: www.skiddle.com
