Tickets are already flying out for the now infamous start of Summer proper in Birmingham at the Mostly JFS festival. And with a line up that quite honestly beggars belief for this year, quite rightly so. If you’re a funk and soul fan and you haven’t heard about the line-up for this year yet (where have you been?) you might need to sit down for this bit… Headliners include George Clinton (Parliament, Funkadelic), De La Soul, The Average White Band, Grandmaster Flash, Blackaliscious and Booker T. Then there’s the usual backdrop of musical brilliance from the likes of Craig Charles, Eska and Nubiyan Twist. For the full, fine and fabulous extensive line-up you’ll have to check out their website and/or updates on the Facebook page. Just be warned, this limited-ticket event in the lazy, hazy, beautifully cute confines of Moseley Park is bound to sell out super-fast, so make haste.

8-10 July, Moseley Park, Alcester Road, Moseley B13 8DD, Birmingham. Tickets from £42, See: www.mostlyjazz.co.uk
