Not so much a band more a delicious musical narrative rich with eclectic ideas draped laconically over the pounding bass of Jah Wobble. Intastella is the creation of Stella Grundy and new album The Rise and Fall of the Northern Dubstar is a psychedelic dub opera that surpassess her earlier work and is like nothing we’ve ever seen before, sometimes meandering and occasionally potently blunt, but never less than inspiring in its sonic exploration. The supporting cast is simply mind blowing and they all appear live with Stella at The Town Hall. John Cooper Clarke, Smiths duo Mike Joyce and Craig Gannon, legendary producer Gary Clail, The Verve’s Nick McCabe and noise juggernauts The Membranes. Prepare for a sensory overload.
