After a chilled-out night with feel-good beats and a friendly atmosphere? Look no further. This November, veteran DJ Artwork will be filling the Hare & Hounds with warm house, disco and techno sounds, all night long. This is a guy who used to DJ techno back in the ‘90s, co-wrote your favourite UK garage anthems and kinda, maybe, almost invented dubstep (the jury is out, but he had a pretty big part to play). And when we say this is an intimate show, we mean it: for one night only, the Hare & Hounds will become Artwork’s living room. Think ugly floral carpets, embarrassing family portraits and smoky open fires (okay, this last one might be subject to health and safety regulations) and you’ve got a pretty good idea of the vibe. If you fancy heading down, you’d better scoop up a ticket pretty sharpish as they’re already on final release. With Art hosting, it’s bound to be a good night.
Sat 11 Nov, Hare & Hounds, 106 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7JZ 9pm-3am, £16.50, www.skiddle.com
