Bristolian bassheads My Nu Leng stop off at Lab11 for their annual Digbeth takeover, with a little help from their friends. My Nu Leng’s music sits snugly in a niche they’ve carved out for themselves, somewhere in the muddy intersection between UK bass, bassline and drum & bass. Whichever label you ascribe it, their sound is hugely popular in the underground scene, so much so that they could probably sell out Crane all by themselves (indeed, tickets are already on fourth release with no other act yet announced). But perhaps this is due in part to their consistently impressive line-ups; last year’s event saw DJ Q, Taiki Nulight and AC Slater join the duo for one hell of a show. Expect no less from this one – My Nu Leng know how to curate a top class experience.
