BOFF is a worthy attempt to make the delights of Birmingham’s spoken word scene available to all those who cannot make it to physical events and to increase the city’s growing profile as a hub for such happenings. Spoken word lovers can stream events through the BOFF live page or YouTube and there are several already lined up, all detailed on the BOFF website here. To kick things off the BOFF Boffins have arranged a rather splendid launch event which includes poetry, music, film and art installations all for the miserly sum of three pounds! It’s great to see new and inventive ways of promoting and supporting the arts in Birmingham; now you have to do your bit, even if you just watch online.
