Wolf People are a force to be reckoned with. Peddling the strain of bucolic psychedelic rock bubbling between untethered classic rock sonic freedom and carefree flower-powered energy, Jagjaguwar Records’ Wolf People pay a highly anticipated visit to Birmingham in November. Although branded folk rock, theirs is a far cry from the poppy folk of Mumford & Sons, panning any clean cut jangles across two albums of musical sorcery that would sooner summon the shamen and fantastical critters of ancient forests, channelling the spirits of Dungen, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac and Fairport Convention. With a third LP promised for later in 2016, now is the time to catch their newest material since 2016.
