Following Ed’s career trajectory over the last 12 months or so has been incredibly satisfying, Birmingham’s human beat boxing hero is going from strength to strength. Highlights so far have been sold out venues for the launch of EP ‘Unseen’ at Mama Roux’s in October and again at the Hare and Hounds in March as part of his first UK tour, these were huge markers planted in the musical landscape of Birmingham. We fully expect the launch of new single ‘Found A Place’ at the mac to sell out too. Lady Sanity, who appears on Ed’s new release, will be performing her own brand of intelligent and thoughtful rap with the beautifully melancholic acoustic melodies of Andrew Souter completing an incredible line up of Brum based talent. These are heady musical days for the second city, with the cooperation and mutual support of all our artists being refreshingly welcome. No egos, just a disparate band of compelling musicians making great music. We know it’s only a matter of time before we hear the Holte End chanting about Ed, ‘he’s one of our own, he’s one of our own, Ed Geater he’s one of our own’. Get on the buzz.
