Snack sized morsels of home spun wisdom from Essex boy Jay McAllister on subjects as diverse as things your parents told you to terrorism. The master of a willfully understated social philosophy told simply and elegiacally with good humour through a rasping Essex drawl and lazily strummed guitar.  Horizontally laid back and possessed of an easy charm, his live shows feel a bit like accidentally wandering into his house and being made to feel most welcome. Every year on the 1st December, Jay’s birthday, there is a new Beans on Toast album and this year we can look forward to the release of ‘A Spanner in the Works’. Pull up a chair, a smile and engage your brain with our favourite drunk folk troubadour. Support comes from Tensheds and Sky Smeed.
