Since the noisy Wolverhampton indie rockers The Lines called it a day in 2013, after several blistering singles and one great album, vocalist and guitarist Alex Ohm has been busy honing his solo act to acoustic perfection. There have been some cracking live shows, including supporting the legendary Scott Matthews at the Banstock Songwriters Garden Party at Bantock House last summer. Alex releases his debut EP ‘At First a Drop, Then a Flood’ this week with a launch party at The Victoria to celebrate. It’s been four years in the making and we can confirm it’s been worth the wait. Our favourite track is the beautifully contemplative ‘Every Ocean’, a gloriously upbeat song powered by sweet lilting orchestral strings. Highly recommended.
