The grand final of hit Channel 4 series The Piano will take place at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall this summer.

The show, taking place on Tue 9 Jun, will bring together six talented pianists from across the UK for an exciting live finale.

The finalists will be mentored by internationally acclaimed musician Mika, alongside a series of guest mentors from across the UK. The evening will be hosted by broadcaster Claudia Winkleman, who will guide audience members and performers through the final stage of the competition.

Now in its fourth series, The Piano has previously visited major cultural venues, including Southbank Centre, Aviva Studios and The Glasshouse, celebrating the power of live music and the stories behind the performers.

The 2026 Grand Final at Symphony Hall marks the latest chapter in the programme’s journey, placing the spotlight firmly on Birmingham as a centre for world-class music-making.

Martha Delap, Executive Producer, Love Productions said: “The Piano has always been about showcasing talented performers and giving them a platform to shine. Bringing The Piano: The Final Concert to Symphony Hall allows us to celebrate the finalists on one of the UK’s most iconic stages, and we’re incredibly excited to share this special live event with a Birmingham audience.”

Chris Proctor, Head of Programme at B:Music added: “We’re incredibly proud to be hosting the Grand Final of The Piano at Symphony Hall.
