A new lunchtime programme of free live music is coming to B:Eats, the cafe located within Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.

Lunch: Unplugged will see a series of acoustic performances being held at 1pm on various dates between September and November.

Nicole Evans, Director of Commercial Services at B:Music, the organisation behind the Symphony Hall, said: “We understand how challenging it can be to unplug during lunchtimes and resist the temptation to opt for a supermarket meal deal so you can keep working through lunch, or even to grab a quick handful of biscuits between meetings. However, we believe that taking a proper break is crucial. Not only does it enhance focus for the rest of the day, but it also allows us to reconnect with our community and colleagues by stepping out into the city.

“If you’re working locally, consider visiting B:Eats at Symphony Hall, where we offer exclusive lunchtime deals just for you! B:Eats serves a delightful daytime menu featuring classic dishes with contemporary twists. Additionally, you can enjoy free lunchtime concerts, supporting some of the finest local emerging artists while savouring a delicious meal. All our food is freshly prepared, and with a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy!”

Every purchase made at B:Eats directly supports B:Music, the charity behind Birmingham’s Town Hall and Symphony Hall.

Nick Reed, CEO at B:Music added: “This is a lunch that truly makes a difference – delicious food that supports thousands of musical journeys every year. As a music charity, B:Music is dedicated to inspiring a love of live music through performance, participation, and learning. We are passionate about introducing young people to music and we work across some of Birmingham’s most disadvantaged communities to achieve this mission.

“Choosing B:Eats for your lunch directly supports us in bringing joy and improving lives through music. Opting for a quick meal deal on the go doesn’t bring much joy to anyone. We are passionate about great food, which is why our bars and kitchen are operated in-house. Our B:Eats team love delivering the great, unpretentious food that has become our signature. Be sure to try the Brummie Bacon Cake!

“This autumn, we are delighted to offer a full season of free live music during lunchtimes at B:Eats. Take a break from the office, join us for lunch, relax, and enjoy the performances. We look forward to welcoming you”
