A much-acclaimed Birmingham restaurant has been named as one of the UK’s top 10 places to eat in new rankings from the prestigious Harden’s Guide.
Opheem, which became the first Birmingham restaurant ever to be awarded a second Michelin star earlier this year, was named sixth in the overall top 100.
The list, which covers the entirety of the UK, is compiled from more than 30,000 reports by 2,500 diners. The brainchild of Aktar Islam, Opheem, which is no stranger to accolades these days, was praised for ‘taking Indian cuisine to a new and exalted level.’
The restaurant offers guests a choice between a 10-course tasting menu priced at £175pp, a 5-course menu at £95pp and a lunch a la carte menu, which includes two courses for £75, or three for £85.
Elsewhere in the region, there were spots in the top 100 for Grace and Savour at Hampton Manor (30), Fraiche (61), Upstairs by Tom Shepherd (63) and The Wilderness (90)
