Newhall Street Tavern has launched a new monthly charity shuffleboard tournament, inviting guests to face off in friendly competition all in aid of local charities.
Following a successful first charity night supporting Hospitality Action, Newhall Street Tavern, has confirmed its next charity partner. On Fri 27 Feb from 6pm, the venue will support University Charity Hospitals Birmingham, whose goal is to help patients and their families feel as supported as possible during their treatment and time in hospital.

The new series of events will see the Birmingham venue partner with a different charity each month, donating proceeds from the shuffleboard competition to causes that support people and communities across the city.
Designed to be accessible, social and fun, the nights aim to encourage guests to give back while enjoying everything the venue does best. The shuffleboard is free for the evening, with guests then encouraged to make a donation to play. Guests can book ahead by visiting the website, and walk-ins are also welcome.
Each charity night will feature a shuffleboard competition open to all abilities, with teams or individuals able to sign up on the night. Guests can expect a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere, with funds raised going directly to the chosen charity partner.
Speaking on the launch, Newhall Street Tavern said: “We wanted to create something that felt genuinely social and meaningful, a regular event that brings people together while giving back to charities doing vital work in Birmingham. Shuffleboard felt like the perfect fit because it’s fun, informal and open to everyone.”
The charity shuffleboard nights will take place on the last Friday of every month, with dates and booking details shared via the venue’s social channels.
