Birmingham Heritage Week is set to return for its tenth edition this September, opening up some of the city’s most historic landmarks to the public.

Running from Fri 12 Sep – Sun 21 Sep, the annual event will see a range of guided tours, performances and historical talks happening across the city.

Highlights from this year’s programme include everything from a Jewellery Quarter deep-dive into the history of camera making, a day of heritage crafts at Yardley and backstage tours at the famous Crescent Theatre.

Elsewhere, there’s a special exhibition exploring the link between texture in pattern in architecture at the Birmingham School of Architecture, a heritage morning at Birmingham Hippodrome, and even the Birmingham Honey Show.

While some of the Birmingham Heritage Week events do require advance booking, many are also run on a drop-in basis, should you be looking for last-minute plans.
