Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host a special outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth this summer.

Presented by the celebrated The Duke’s Theatre Company, the outfit brings a contemporary edge to the classic tale of ambition, murder and madness, with a strong focus on the psychological unravelling of the protagonists

At the helm of the show is Robert Shaw Cameron (Coronation Street, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, Sheffield Crucible) and designer Jessica Curtis (Hampstead Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Royal National Theatre) alongside a cast of six industry-leading actors.

The event is entirely outdoors, and guests are invited to bring along chairs and blankets to make the experience a cosy one.
