If you haven’t already had a perusal of the gloriously glossy Brum cultural hand grenade that is Babmag then you are missing a treat. The first three issues are crammed with cutting edge design and intelligent writing on all things Birmingham. The new issue will be exploring the city’s musical roots with emphasis on reggae and an eighties hit band. Who can it be? Steel Pulse? Musical Youth? Goosensei will be spinning cool roots and dub tunes. The event is co-produced with Provide and their Best of Brum pop up space. The upstairs gallery (open Dec 3 – 10) will feature work from local photographer Kate Hook, abstract artist Alexander Rhys Boardman and OG graffiti writer Zooki. Check out Provide’s advent art calendar at the Best of Brum pop up space until Christmas here. They will be showcasing a different artist each day.
