Quickly established as one of the coolest festivals in Birmingham, All Years Leaving returns for its third inception and is looking better than ever. Over two days expect some of the best music around, all carefully curated by Birmingham’s most discerning promoters, ‘This is Tmrw’. It’s not just music though, there will be art installations, pop up bars, street food, signings, DJs and after show parties. Both days will absolutely rock and each band playing is worthy of your attention, but the preview gods insist we make recommendations. So Friday look out for one time NME band of the week The Big Moon. The all girl rockers have been compared to everybody from PJ Harvey to The Slits, all you need to know is they make a delicious racket. We’re taking along a few tins of paint in case they play ‘Cupid’. Saturday’s line up has a more psychedelic-y feel about it and also has the bands Yuck and YAK on the bill, which is a mischievous piece of programming. We will be at the front banging our heads to the thick psych sludge of Ulrika Spacek as should you be! Selling out quick, so hands in pockets and get tickets now.
