Birmingham’s own Three Step Manoeuvre have been honing their fine organ driven soul sound for three years now and if you haven’t already caught them live you’ve been missing a real groovy treat. Their funky rhythms recall legends like Mr Hobo Flats himself Jimmy Smith, James Brown and The Meters. The launch party for debut album ‘Three Step Strut’ promises to be cooler than polar bear spit with gifted vocalist Cherise Adams-Burnett and award winning flutist Gareth Lockrane joining the band. There will be a DJ set from Automaton to keep the vibe going. Sit back, close your eyes, set your brain to groovy and get down brother. The album better be available on crackly vinyl boys.
