Clays, an immersive clay pigeon target shooting experience bar, has opened in Birmingham’s historic Piccadilly Arcade.

Using unique software, Clays replicates a British shooting ground, combining the social experience with a premium food menu.

Clays‘ first site in London, Moorgate, opened in 2021, followed by a second location in Canary Wharf in 2022. The new venue in Birmingham incorporates interiors inspired by the British countryside, with a focus on its stunning scenery and greenery.

Spanning three floors, the venue can host up to 500 guests and features two large bars, resident DJs every weekend, and a ‘relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere’.

Michaela Reysenn from KAI Interiors says, “Our vision for Clays was to create a space where the outdoors meets the indoors, blending the natural beauty of the British countryside with a sense of elegance and sophistication. From the soft pink tones inspired by clay itself to green foliage and accents throughout, every detail has been carefully curated to evoke both playfulness and premium quality.

“Subtle nods to the sport of clay shooting are present throughout the venue whether it be via the use of bespoke lighting, flooring, art, or wallpaper. We wanted to craft an immersive environment that feels vibrant, inviting, and perfectly set for an unforgettable evening of fun and celebration.”

The menu at Clays Birmingham, developed by Culinary Director Roger Olsson, is centred around sustainability and ethically sourced British produce.

Highlights include the Clays vegetarian sharing platter with KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower), seasonal vegetable pastry roll, sweetcorn ribs, loaded English crisps, and green olives. Other sharing options include the classic platter with Cobble Lane charcuterie, chickpea hummus, breadsticks, and green olives.

The Mixed Platter, perfect for those looking for something a little heartier, features British calamari, old spot sausage roll, truffle parmesan chips and sweetcorn ribs. Clays’ signature pizzette range from mushroom, broccoli and truffle, nduja, pepperoni and chilli jam and more.

Clays also offers an expertly crafted cocktail menu. Signature cocktails include a Jack’s Orchard, a clarified drink made with Jack Daniel’s Apple Whiskey, fresh apple juice, and a hint of toffee and a Clay Burst, a refreshing mix of Beefeater pink gin, lemon, cranberry and raspberry tea syrup. Guests can also enjoy a carefully selected range of wines, craft beers, and more.
