An all-day grassroots music festival featuring some of Birmingham’s most exciting emerging music creators and producers comes to Digbeth this weekend.
Pheztival, a seven-hour curated genre-blending journey through hip-hop, jazz, soul, rap and crossover genres, will take over The Drop Inn on Sun 19 Apr, from 2pm-9pm.
The event will feature innovative student-led collaborations, including exclusive merch produced by Abnormal, an independent clothing brand and a new print title presenting creatives drawn from across the UK.

The cross-platform event aims to showcase the future of the city’s next generation of live music performers and professionals, as well as providing a significant opportunity for aspiring industry professionals to meet and collaborate.
A seven-strong lineup features talented students and graduates drawn from ACM Birmingham, Birmingham City University and other creative institutions like ELAM.

Pheztival founder Pherrell Brown said, “Pheztival is a platform for the future generation to showcase their incredible talents to people who enjoy live music and everything creative. It is also a space for people to network, make new connections and form future contacts later in their career.
“I am proud that I’ve been able to create this event and grateful for the community for supporting my passion of live music, and it will good turnout for grassroots music around the UK.”
