A family-friendly reindeer sculpture trail has launched across Birmingham’s city centre.

Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen will all be on display until Mon 6 Jan.

Artists have made each reindeer completely unique, with the sculptures located at Great Western Arcade, Grand Central, the Mailbox, Piccadilly Arcade, the Frankfurt Christmas Market, Cass Art in Corporation Street, Ice Skate Birmingham, the Cathedral Square Market and Selfridges Bullring.

A children’s story called Brum’s Reindeer Rescue has also been created by Birmingham author Ruth Millington to tie in with the trail and features local sights and a well-loved Brummie icon.

A special story booklet will be given to young patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas but families can also download a copy to read at home here.

Central BID, in partnership with art trail experts Wild in Art, have created the Christmas attraction, which will also support Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

Paper maps can be found at each reindeer and at various stores across the city centre including Selfridges, Cass Art and the Christmas pop-up shop in Great Western Arcade. You can also download a copy of the map here.
