Fresh from a critically lauded two years on the West End, an Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical celebrating the legacy of The Kinks comes to Birmingham this October.
Adapted from Joe Penhall’s book, with an original story by Kinks guitarist, vocalist & songwriter Ray Davies, Sunny Afternoon journeys through the story of one of Britain’s most important and iconic groups.
Set against the backdrop of the rebellious 60s, the show is jam-packed with iconic tracks like You Really Got Me, Lola and All Day and All of the Night.
As well as winning Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards in 2015, it also scooped the Outstanding Achievement in Music for Ray Davies, Best Actor for John Dagleish, Best Supporting Actor for George Maguire and Best Sound Design.
