Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market has announced its opening dates for 2025.

The festive wooden huts will once again take over Victoria Square and New Street, offering beer, glühwein, food, and traditional gifts, in what is now the biggest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria.

Organisers have now confirmed that the markets will open on Sat 1 Nov, running right the way through to Christmas Eve. The markets will be open 11am – 9.30pm, Mon – Thu, 10am – 9.30pm on Fridays and 10am – 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.

A free live music programme will be hosted on a stage in the heart of Victoria Square, with musicians from both Germany and Birmingham performing during lunchtime and evening music sessions during the week, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Christmas in Cathedral Square will also be back on the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral from Fri 7 Nov – Wed 24 Dec, with stalls operating there from 11am – 9pm, Mon – Wed, 11am – 9.30pm, Thu – Sat, and 12pm – 9pm on Sundays.
