The Night Owl’s 4th Birthday Party 5&6 Jul The Night Owl
This July, The Night Owl is hosting a party spread across two nights to celebrate four years of hosting some of Birmingham’s best retro club sounds and live music events. The Friday (5 Jul) will celebrate punk music and the Saturday night (6 Jul) will be packed with acid-jazz and ska. On Friday 5 July, The Chords will be bringing their 1970s mod-punk to Digbeth, supported by The Humdrum Express, a vibrant pop punk group with a focus on social commentary and a political punch. On Saturday 6 July, The Night Owl will be taken over by the smooth acid jazz of Eddie Piller, co-owner of Acid Jazz Records. Joining him is Acid Jazz Records-signed Laville, whose soulful songs have led some to hail him ‘the nouveau ‘Barry White or Luther Vandross’. If both genres appeal, a weekend ticket is £20, or individual tickets start at £10.
Fri 5 & Sat 6 Jul, 17-18 Lower Trinity Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B9 4AG. Tel: 07468 450685, Fri: 8pm- 4am, Sat: 4pm-4am
