This May, some of the most iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race queens are here to show Birmingham how to Werq on the next stop of the official Werq The World Tour. Taking to the stage at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, the likes of Aquaria, Kim Chi and Violet Chachki and other Drag Race royalty will be strutting their stuff in this all-new production for 2019. Film/TV: Queer as Folk and Russell T. Davies Q&A

Twenty years after its initial broadcast on Channel 4, Russell T. Davies’ ground-breaking Queer as Folk is being screened at the MAC this May. The show followed the lives of three gay men in Manchester and celebrated a community that was used to being misrepresented or completely underrepresented on screen. It was praised for its handling of complex gay characters that weren’t just cliché stereotypes and the ten-show series is a landmark of British television. Along with the screening, the MAC welcomes writer and produce Russell T Davies for a Q&A to discuss the legacy of the show. This is a rare opportunity so don’t miss out, tickets are available now.
