One hell of a line-up courtesy of proudly nostalgic dance brand Heritage. First up are Stanton Warriors – whose name, incidentally, was taken from a manhole cover made by Stanton Ironworks. Perhaps the most recently-conceived act on the bill, this DJ and production duo are famed for their bass-laden UK garage, early adopters of a sound that would later merge into the eclectic genre now known as UK bass. George Morel has been around for a little bit longer, with a career in minimal, tech-house and deep house deejaying that has been his bread and butter for three whole decades. The awards he’s won are numerous, with five Gold records awards, two Platinum records awards, four Billboard awards and one 3M Tape award under his belt – and who are we to argue with that? Finally, Graeme Park is a man who needs no introduction: acid house pioneer and Haçienda legend, Park was at the forefront of the movement that paved the way for all dance music to come, effectively creating jobs for all your favourite DJs today. They don’t teach you this stuff in economics. With the sheer experience and skill of these selectors, this show is sure to be nothing short of epic.
