Birmingham is to get its first dedicated whisky bar on the same premises as the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter and set to open on Valentine’s day with a wee aperitif of a pop-up opening for Burns night and offering free tasters for all. The venue will boast 300 plus whiskies and host a regular calendar of tastings and events from the brains behind Birmingham Whisky Club Amy Seaton. Ahead of the official opening a Burns Bar pop-up on January 27th and 28th (26th for members) will whet the appetite with a warm welcome for everyone including a free dram and matching ‘treat’ for whisky lovers on arrival and a good selection of beers, wines and spirits for non-whisky drinkers. The bar will then open once the full refurb is complete on February 14th.
