Opening its doors in a suitably non-hush hush style with a 1920s themed prohibition party hosted by ace street food and party people Taste & Liquor, we expect this one to go off with quite the festive bang. Taste & Liquor have also taken on a mini-takeover of this highly promising new booze parlour converted from a 1880s Victorian School, complete with an outdoor ‘schoolyard’ (ideal for street food sessions) for further foodie festivities up until Xmas. Celebrate the end of prohibition on opening night with cocktails, New York themed street food served up by The Smoking Joint and get those flappers swinging to a stunning roster of DJs including the Magic Door DJs (see our NYE ticket giveaway for these guys here) and plenty more. The run up to Christmas sees the awesome Fat Snags popping by with their heavenly hot dog creations, Jamaican street food from Momma Bears Wings & Tings and TDTH’s own speakeasy NYE party in the schoolyard (don’t tell the feds) complete with cocktails, fizz, DJs and a schoolyard full of street food. All for free (and family friendly) until 10pm.
Opening night: Sat 16 Dec at The Drunken Tiger, School Yard, Harborne, Birmingham B17 9NJ, from 5pm. Free. NYE free before 8pm, £10 after. www.facebook.com
