Jahron Brathwaite – a.k.a. PARTYNEXTDOOR – is a writer-turned-solo-artist with an impressive resumé already under his belt: becoming a not-so-secret weapon in Drake’s arsenal back in 2013, Brathwaite has been a key writer and collaborator on the last three albums by the Canadian megastar. But nothing has been as attention-grabbing as the Billboard No. 1 single that Brathwaite penned for Rihanna – yep, that would be ‘Work’, the chart-smashing summer jam that spawned memes aplenty. But PARTYNEXTDOOR has goods of his own: last full-length ‘PARTYNEXTDOOR 3’ is a state-of-the-art R&B experiment that shows off just what Brathwaite can do when exploring his sound to the full.
