Birmingham’s very own folk troubadours have been creating a merry kind of mayhem for several years now mixing genres and styles in delightfully gung-ho fashion. We’ve always known how great they are but now they’ve finally got around to releasing debut album ‘The Albino Peacock’ maybe the rest of the world will start to take notice. Wilfully eclectic the album is dizzyingly diverse with our favourite track being the Balkan tinged ‘Coffee Countdown’ that suddenly morphs into a Gong-esque anthem, see what we mean about dizzying? Best place to see them is live with their boundless energy guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They never disappoint at the Hare and Hounds. Be advised there will be jigging about. The event is a benefit for Calais Kitchens so you can jig, smile and do your bit for a worthy cause. See you there.
