West Yorkshire’s very own bassline junkie DJ Q returns to the Rainbow Venues for an extended UK garage, house and grime set. You could say that DJ Q started young: at age twelve, young Shollen Quarshie had already amassed enough 12” records to warrant the purchase of his first set of decks; by fifteen he had already begun to secure bookings at local parties in Huddersfield. From his breakout single ‘You Wot’ to his current status as a gifted remixer and revered performer, Q’s swift rise to popularity and long stay at the top of the UK garage and bassline game can be attributed both to his inherent talent but also his formidable work ethic, which has seen him play shows across Australia, America and more. Dubstep don El-B accompanies Q for this event, who is joined by 02.31 founder Tom Shorterz and Trudos.
