Three’s the magic number for party brand Collective Minds, who return from a three-year sabbatical with their third ever party, inviting Metrolux Music records founder XDB to Spotlight for an extended three-hour DJ set. Hailing from Göttingen in Germany, XDB was born Kosta Athanassiadis and began DJing in the early ‘90s. Since then, several of his mixes have been picked for Resident Advisor’s ‘Mix of the Day’, he has provided a guest mix for now-defunct tastemaker crew MNML SSGS and has become a regular performer at the UK’s Freerotation festival. Drawing upon an expansive record collection spanning the entire spectrum of electronic sound, XDB will continue to confound and bedazzle revellers with an eclectic selection of music mixed with the outstanding technical ability for which he is known. Also setting the venue’s brand spanking new Martin Audio system alight are Birmingham DJs Adam Shelton and Jason Wynters.
