Revered remixer and Parisian trailblazer Alan Braxe first entered the world of electronic music in the ‘90s, slowly but surely cementing his place as a key artist in the French scene. His biggest hit came in 1998 with the song ‘Music Sounds Better with You’, a collaboration between Braxe, Benjamin Diamond and Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter released under the name Stardust, which reached number one in the US Dance Charts. In 2004 he released another hit, ‘Rubicon’, under his own imprint Vulture Music, and since then has become well-known for his remixes, reworking tracks for the likes of Goldfrapp, Kylie Minogue and Test Icicles. This Friday, Braxe heads to Kings Heath to wow punters with the samples and filter effects typical of quintessentially French house music.
