The inaugural summer edition of the Rainbow Venues’ annual Chapter festival takes over August bank holiday weekend with a techno treat situated right at the industrial heart of Digbeth. The festival opens on the Saturday with Find the Blackdot, the first of an all-new series of parties dedicated to bringing the world’s biggest techno stars to secret spaces hidden around Birmingham. In keeping with the event’s air of mystery, the venue for this event has yet to be announced – and it’s just as likely that you’ll have to go hunting for it yourself. The festival’s second day unveils the newly refurbished Warehouse, promising a huge step-up in lighting, tiers and sound. Starring the celebrated Tale of Us, dance innovator Marcel Dettman, Berlin-based duo Pan-Pot and a whole host of other techno extraordinaires, the Summer Chapter is the Rainbow’s last big hurrah before the cold weather closes in yet again.
