The magnificently named Mr Jerk returns to fire up his sassy sizzlin’ Caribbean street food and mobile rum bar to the courtyard of the Coffin Works. Whet your appetite with a bit of reggae, ska & lovers rock from Joe Turner of Sound & Soul, before tucking into jerk chicken BBQ complete with curry goat, rice & peas and a good measure of joy juice (rum) from the mobile bar. There will also be an open mic session in aid of Birmingham Children’s hospital. RLA culture will be selling African Inspired Art and handmade jewellery and there will be rum cake and coffee as well as the obligatory game of dominoes.
Sun 18 Sep, Coffin Works, 13 – 15 Fleet Street, Birmingham, B3 1 JP. 12pm – 6pm, £1.50 (entry only) www.eventbrite.co.uk
