Theatre is a great source of pride here and Birmingham Fest is the festival responsible for bringing theatre from all over UK, to various venues scattered all over the second city, including; The Blue Orange Theatre, The Crescent, The Old Joint Stock and the immersive factory space situated in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter A.E. Harris. Running from the 15th of July until the 31 st July, the festival will house thirty two productions, including fringe theatre pieces. Audiences can expect an expressive and varied festival, full of laughter, tears and a myriad of emotions in between.

A weaving together of the tales of a tattoo artist with and autistic boy’s, his mother, and his absent military father. What is woven, with the rich tapestry of the story is a quilt made as a gift for the boy with autism, who loves to dance.
