Last of the Summer series at Lord Clifden tonight so raise a toast to those Saturday night shimmies while the sun sets over the city, stars come out and sublime sounds bounce off a turntable and around a friendly outdoor space. The Great Outdoors takes its summer sessions punters on a musical journey through space and time from day-to-evening transporting them through Balearic reveries and Croatian-party style revelries all in the award winning garden space of The Lord Clifden pub. Run by respected DJ Dean Sunshine Smith and now in its 4th year, these weekly seasonal parties have a well-established following of keen music heads and laidback party-lovers. It might not quite be the Cafe Del Mar, but with its proper old-school credentials and clued-up crowd it’s the nearest thing as dammit you’ll get on a temperate Saturday night Birmingham. Get in the groove.
