The oldest pub in Birmingham, dating back to 1368, already possessed one of the coolest beer gardens in the city hosting everything from outdoor cinema events to Sunday Socials. That’s set to get even better now the Stax Creations gang have been let loose with hammers and drills, making it the funkiest outdoor drinking area in Brum (probably). Expect a new outdoor bar, plus a cocktail bar, outdoor BBQ and even a shipping container. To celebrate there will be a weekend of cool sounds from some of Birmingham’s best DJ’s playing a mix of soul, funk and disco. On Friday’s launch night, from 12pm onwards, Tom Mason and Robert Johnston are in charge of loosening those dance muscles! Saturday it’s a takeover, as The Night Owl groovesters assume control of the garden from 2pm to 10pm.If you fancy carrying on to the Night Owl afterwards you will get reduced rate entry. Fingers crossed for sunshine.
