A rhapsody of gentle home-grown folk awaits those whose ears yearn for pastures new tonight in the shape of 3 contemporary local folk outfits, Midsummer, mellow Peaches and Eleanor Dattani. Fresh from the studio with newly penned songs in hand are Birmingham folk-quintet Midsummer who bring their breezy, lyrical folk-pop to the intimate surrounds of the Hare and Hounds. With sweet, melodic vocals accompanied by mandolin, strings and vocal harmonies, they wear their ‘ones to watch’ label with grace and charm. They are joined by the traditional folk, blues roots and gusty grooves of the Mellow Peaches and favourite singer songwriter of Moseley Folk-and-other-festivals Eleanor Dattani. Expect a bevy of beautiful folk sounds and exceptionally melodic value for money.
